Why this practice exists

Licensing income often passes through more hands and records than a conventional sale: an applicant submits evidence, a tariff is assessed, a counter or online channel records payment, a bank settles funds, and finance posts the amount. Small breaks between those stages create difficult month-end questions.

Cloud Scheduler Grid was formed to examine that narrow but important chain without treating finance or licensing operations as secondary. Our purpose is to help accountable officers distinguish a timing difference from a missing receipt, a recording error from a control failure, and a plausible explanation from one supported by evidence.

How we work

Engagements are led by a senior financial audit practitioner with experience in revenue cycles, control testing and reconciliation. Specialist tax, legal or forensic input is brought in only when the agreed question requires it and only with the client’s approval. We do not claim that a reconciliation review is a statutory audit or legal opinion.

Our working principles are simple:

• preserve source references so another reviewer can reperform the trail;
• hear the cashier, licensing officer, preparer and reviewer before concluding;
• minimise applicant personal information in working files;
• report exceptions in proportion to their financial and control significance;
• state scope limitations where records cannot support a conclusion.

A South African setting

Our office is in Sandton, with work performed across South Africa through agreed on-site access and secure remote review. Tariffs, delegations, public-finance requirements and organisational mandates differ. We therefore read the governing policy and approved fee schedule before applying a testing approach.

We value calm attention, professional scepticism and records that speak plainly. The neon lotus in our identity represents that balance: many separate entries returning to one traceable centre.
