Engagement fee guide
Fees shaped by the records, not artificial packages
We quote against the fee population, payment channels, review period and level of manual investigation. Prices below are planning guidance, not subscription tiers.
Typical fee basis
| Work | Planning guide | What changes the estimate |
|---|---|---|
| Licensing application fee & receipt reconciliation audit | From R42,000 excluding VAT | Fee classes, review months, record volume, payment channels, data condition and testing coverage |
| Receipt sequence & cashier control review | From R24,000 excluding VAT | Collection points, tender types, physical receipt custody and travel |
| Reconciliation backlog remediation | R9,500 per practitioner day, or a capped quote | Age of backlog, unsupported openings, manual tracing and management availability |
The first 30-minute scoping call is not charged. After that discussion, we may request a non-sensitive sample layout or field list—not live applicant records—to assess record structure.
What the written estimate states
Every estimate identifies the period, locations, fee types, expected inputs, testing approach, deliverables, timetable and assumptions. It also says what is outside scope. This prevents a control walkthrough from being mistaken for full-population assurance.
Travel outside the Johannesburg area, specialist legal or forensic support and material extensions to the agreed population are quoted separately before cost is incurred. VAT is added where applicable.
Deposits and invoicing
A 40% deposit normally reserves fieldwork. Larger engagements may use commencement, draft-report and final-report milestones. Remediation billed by day is supported by time records and cannot exceed an agreed cap without written approval.
If the available records cannot support the proposed work, we say so before accepting the engagement or revise the scope to a diagnostic review.
